The drafting and maintenance of KII content is a significant challenge, but the KiiDocs system supports this process by providing somewhere to store and manage the content, and by providing workflow for the review and sign-off of that content.

KiiDocs allows you to structure your content in a way that maximises re-use, saving time and cost, at both the drafting and translation stages.

Rather than manage the content for each KII document separately, the KiiDocs system allows you to identify those elements that are shared across several share classes of a fund, or across all funds in an umbrella, and store only one version of that text. This can massively reduce the amount of text to be created, signed-off, translated and maintained.

For example, a typical umbrella with 25 sub-funds and 4 share classes per fund will require 100 KII documents (per language). However, up to 50% of the text will be shared across the whole umbrella, so that only 1 version of this text is required. With KiiDocs, that single version can be entered, reviewed and translated once, rather than 100 times.

We estimate that only 10-20% of the KII content is actually specific to a particular share class, and so the potential for sharing text (and thus saving costs) is huge.
